Ashes to ashes, dust to dust ...

Yesterday we sprinkled some of Mom's ashes under her favorite Cedar Tree at Rockport State Park, in the North Cascades. The tree is about 500 years old, and in a protected area - and one of Mom's favorite places. It was a difficult day at times, but nice having all the family together (Dad, my brother Mark, my nephews Ian & Sean) ... and Maggie, her granddog (heh heh!). Today I'm exhausted, and feeling a bit lonely. Rest in peace Mom.

Bonnie, what a tough day. I'm glad you were able to go and do that with your family. I bet it was nice to share some memories of your mother. It looks like a beautiful place.

Hugs!
